Our installations follow National Wood Flooring Association guidelines. We read the wood and the subfloor with pin and pinless moisture meters, test concrete slabs to ASTM F2170 before anything is glued down, and flatten the subfloor before boards go on top of it rather than correcting underneath them afterward. You get both readings in writing.

A seven-month heating season pulls moisture out of wood, so species, cut and format are matched to the room and to the way the house is heated. Where seasonal movement matters most we specify quartersawn or riftsawn oak. Every sander runs on HEPA-filtered dust extraction, and you receive a fixed-price, itemized proposal before any work begins.
